Art Spiegelman

Art Spiegelman
American cartoonist and illustrator Art Spiegelman gained international acclaim with his autobiographical cartoon series Maus. This important body of work in contemporary comic books is about the life of a Jew (Spiegelman's father) in a Nazi labour camp and that of his son (himself). Spiegelman represents the Jews in the form of mice and the Nazis in the guise of cats.
