Jazz trumpeter Miles Davis is renowned for changing the sound, colour, and traditional approach to contemporary jazz in the late 1940s. A student of bebop, Davis introduced the style known as “cool jazz”. His dreamy, lyrical style blended a highly schooled, contrapuntal approach with feeling and personality.
