Vera Lynn

Known as “the Forces’ Sweetheart”, Vera Lynn is indelibly associated with songs of World War II, when she rose rapidly to fame as a radio star. Her live performances to servicemen all over the world of such songs as “We’ll Meet Again” have been recreated in many reunions since, including the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings in 1994.
