André-Gustave Citroën
The French engineer and industrialist André-Gustave Citroën (1878-1935) was responsible for introducing mass-production techniques, which had been pioneered by Henry Ford in the United States, into the European motor industry. The first Citroën car came off the assembly line in 1919.
