Charles Maurras

Charles Maurras
Charles Maurras was one of the most influential and talented far-right thinkers and activists in modern French history. A gifted contributor to the journal L'Action Française, and a leader of the movement that bore its name, he began his political life as a monarchist, but later became more fascist. During World War II he supported the collaborationist Vichy government, and he was imprisoned after the war.
