Giorgio Vasari

Giorgio Vasari is remembered today chiefly for his Lives of the Most Eminent Italian Architects, Painters, and Sculptors, a biographical work that is still a primary source of information about artists of the Renaissance. He was also a painter and architect, and among his patrons was the Medici family.
