Nosferatu the Vampire
German director F. W. Murnau’s deeply atmospheric and chilling film Nosferatu—Eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu the Vampire) is based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. It terrified audiences on its release in 1922, and is still regarded as a masterly treatment of the horror genre today. Max Schreck is shown as the vampire.
