Macedonian Island

Macedonian Island
The kingdom of Macedonia flourished under the reign of Philip II, who united the Greeks under Macedonia in 338 bc. Philip’s son, Alexander the Great, expanded Macedonia’s influence to include Egypt, Asia Minor, most of the Middle East, and parts of western India. Some of the remains from Macedonia’s empire are the cultural and architectural influences from its territories, preserved in these buildings on this tiny island in the Gulf of Kotor.
