Douglas Fairbanks
American actor Douglas Fairbanks began his stage career in 1901 and in 1915 formed his own production company. He soon became one of the most popular actors of the 1920s. Known for his dashing stunts and swordplay, Fairbanks starred in a number of pictures, including The Mark of Zorro (1920), The Thief of Bagdad (1924), and, shown here, Donald Crisp’s Don Q, Son of Zorro (1925).
