Robin Hood

Robin Hood
English ballads tell the story of the outlaw Robin Hood, who lived in Nottinghamshire’s Sherwood Forest. With the assistance of his band of comrades he terrorized the powerful government and Church and aided the poor and oppressed. No one knows for sure if Robin Hood existed, but the ballads about him give valuable information about English society in the late 14th and early 15th centuries.
