Self-Portrait by Mengs

Through his paintings and theoretical writings German artist Anton Raphael Mengs contributed to a shift from the Baroque to the Neo-Classical style during the 18th century. This self-portrait is in the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia.
