Early Radio
Radio receivers of the 1930s and 1940s were far bigger and heavier than the compact devices introduced in the 1960s. This was because the less streamlined individual components were wired individually. This view looks through the top of an early radio, showing components such as valves, coils, and the tuning condenser.
