Marcel Proust

French novelist Marcel Proust wrote À la Recherche du Temps Perdu, one of the most enduring works in world literature. Written between 1913 and 1927 (translated between 1922 and 1932), the 16-volume work is a largely autobiographical novel with complex characterization and a philosophical preoccupation with time.
