The Lamb

The Lamb
William Blake, poet, painter, and engraver, created a unique form of illustrated verse in which word and picture are intimately related. The Lamb, from his Songs of Innocence (1789), concerns the innocence of childhood; the poem is counterbalanced by The Tyger in Songs of Experience (1794).
