Ernst Jünger

German novelist and essayist Ernst Jünger’s militarist outlook changed in mid-career to an ardent belief in peace, when he became disillusioned with the Nazis. The change was apparent in Der Friede (The Peace), a pamphlet he wrote in 1943 calling for an end to World War II.
