Parthenon

Parthenon
The Parthenon, a temple dedicated to Athena, stands on the Acropolis above Athens. It was built in 447-432 bc and, despite its imperfect state of preservation, conveys a sense of order, balance, and monumental symmetry, for which Greek architecture is justly renowned.
