| Scottish actor Alistair Sim was famous for his roles in film comedies such as The Belles of St Trinians and School for Scoundrels, but he was also an outstanding stage actor. Among his finest performances was Mr Posket in The Magistrate by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, at the Chichester Festival in 1969. He is seen here in the title role of the play Mr Gillie, by James Bridie, in 1960. | ||||||
