Deep Mine Shaft

Deep Mine Shaft
A miner operates a jack-leg drill more than 1,500 m (5,000 ft) below the surface. Mining is one of the oldest activities of human beings and agriculture, fishing, forestry, and many other vital economic activities would not function without the tools and machinery made from the products of mines. In recent decades, however, there has been declining employment in the mining industries of advanced nations.
