Van Gogh

Van Gogh
In his mature work, Van Gogh used vibrant colours and broad, vital brushstrokes to convey mood and emotion. He painted Vincent’s Room (Musée d’Orsay, Paris), his room in a house in Arles, in southern France, in 1889 as part of a process of self-examination. He died the following year, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
