Celtic Bronze Mirror

Celtic Bronze Mirror
Bronze was the first major alloy to be worked, profoundly influencing the technology and culture of the societies that learnt its use. This Celtic mirror is made of bronze. One side was highly polished to give a reflection. The other side, seen here, shows the distinctive swirling style of Celtic art. Mirrors like this one were rare and were probably owned by wealthy families.
