Colosseum

Colosseum
The Colosseum in Rome (ad 70-82) was, in its original state, a four-storey oval amphitheatre with tiers of marble seating for about 45,000 people. In the world of ancient Rome, such imposing public buildings expressed civic pride and prominently displayed the triumph of Roman architecture and engineering.
