Cathedral of St Germinianus, Modena
The cathedral of St Germinianus, in the city of Modena in northern Italy, was designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Lanfranco. The Romanesque building, begun in 1099, together with its tall bell tower, and the surrounding Piazza Grande, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
