Opening Batsman Graham Gooch
England cricketer Graham Gooch is thought to be one of the finest and most prolific opening batsmen in the history of the sport. He started playing for Essex in 1973, and went on to make his Test debut in 1975. He captained England twice in 1988 and again from 1990 to 1993, leading them in a total of 34 Tests. He retired from the national side in 1994 as England's highest Test runs scorer with 8,900.
