Allied Leaders at Potsdam

Allied Leaders at Potsdam
The British prime minister Winston Churchill, US president Harry Truman, and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin seated left to right met at Potsdam in 1945 to discuss issues relating to the future of Germany after World War II. They agreed to divide the country into four zones of occupation (American, Soviet, British, and French) and to impose rigid controls to prevent remilitarization.
