Michel Ney

Michel Ney
One of the most brilliant officers to serve under Napoleon I, Michel Ney was made marshal of France in 1804. Kept as an officer after the Restoration of the French monarchy, Ney switched sides and joined with Napoleon when his former commander returned from exile in 1815. After Napoleon was comprehensively defeated at Waterloo, Ney was shot for treason.
