John Davison Rockefeller

John Davison Rockefeller (1839-1937) was the founder of one of the great American industrial dynasties, and a noted philanthropist. His Standard Oil Trust was broke up in 1899 by government anti-trust action. At the peak of his wealth, Rockefeller was practically a dollar billionaire.
