Town Hall, Gouda

Town Hall, Gouda
The late-Gothic town hall in the market square of the Dutch city of Gouda, was built by Jan III Keldermans, among others. It underwent a renovation between 1690 and 1697, when Renaissance elements (including a landing) were added. The façade, which was renovated around 1880, is a reconstruction of the original using a different type of stone. The rear elevations and façades were renovated in the middle of the 20th century. The interior is partially 17th- and 18th-century (including the wall covering in the Wedding Room).
