Owain Glyn Dŵr
Owain Glyn Dŵr, the last native Prince of Wales, led a major revolt against England's King Henry IV on Henry's accession in 1399. Glyn Dŵr set up a Welsh parliament, and by 1404 was in control of most of the country. He suffered a series of reverses, however, at the hands of Prince Henry, the future King Henry V, and English control was re-established by 1416. Glyn Dŵr's revolt was the last nationalist uprising in Wales.
