Kenneth Tynan

Kenneth Tynan
Kenneth Tynan was one of the most influential theatre critics of the 20th century. A vigorous opponent of theatrical censorship and a strong supporter of new and innovative drama, he championed John Osborne’s Look Back in Anger when it was first produced in 1956. The play is now a modern classic but its subject matter made it controversial at the time.
