On August 21, 1968, Warsaw Pact troops marched into Czechoslovakia to put an end to attempts to reform Soviet-Communist policies in a movement known as the "Prague Spring". This broadcast announced the arrival of the troops and denounced previous statements made by the leaders of the reform movement.
