In this recording, the folk group Plethyn perform the song “Tan yn Llyn” (“Fire at Llyn”). Of all Celtic peoples, the Welsh have been perhaps the most successful in retaining and developing an artistic culture in their own language, particularly in song and poetry through the institution of the Eisteddfod, an annual artistic festival that is both competitive and celebratory.
"Tân yn Llŷn" words and music by Ann Fychan, performed by Plethyn from Sain y Ser (Cat.# Sain C788N, Sain SCD 6045, Sain SCD 2046) (c) Cyhoeddiadau Sain (p)1993 Sain (Recordiau) Cyf. All rights reserved.
