Treaty of Tordesillas
This is a reproduction of the front page of the Treaty of Tordesillas signed by in 1494 by the Portuguese king John II, and by Ferdinand of Aragón and Isabella of Castile. It moved the line of demarcation that distributed the non-Catholic world between Spain and Portugal, to allow "a true distribution of the world just discovered and the world still to discover".
