Jean Moulin

Jean Moulin
The French resistance leader Jean Moulin met the leader of the Free French, Charles de Gaulle, in October 1941 in London. He was authorized to represent de Gaulle's government-in-exile within France, to which he returned in January 1942. Moulin worked to unite the disparate resistance organizations behind the common aim of liberating France from Nazi rule. He was arrested and murdered by the Gestapo in June 1943.
