Bromsgrove (town), town and district in Worcestershire, west-central England. Bromsgrove is a suburb of Birmingham and lies about 20 km (12 mi) north-east of Worcester and 12 km (8 mi) east of the Severn River. The district of Bromsgrove is composed of a number of villages including Barnt Green, Blackwell, Bournheath, Catshill, Marlbrook, and Rubery. The area is mainly residential but agriculture is important with a cattle and produce market held weekly in the town. Industries in the area include wrought ironwork, metal-forging, button-making, nail-making, and railway repairs.

There are several half-timbered houses in the town, for example, the Hop Pole Inn dating from 1572. The Avoncroft Museum of Buildings has exhibits of original buildings dating from as far back as the 13th century. Bromsgrove is the birthplace of the author and illustrator Laurence Housman and his brother, the poet, A. E. Housman. Population 87,846 (2001).
