Iglesias, town in the Cagliari province of south-west Sardinia, Italy. It is located about 60 km (38 mi) west of the city of Cagliari. Iglesias rests on hilly terrain 200 m (650 ft) above sea level, at the foot of Monte Marganai and overlooking the upper Cixerri Valley. The surrounding region is the richest mineral-producing area in Italy. Lead, zinc, silver, and coal are mined.

Iglesias possesses several noteworthy medieval churches, including a cathedral built in 1288, and the 16th-century Church of San Francesco. There is a school of mining in the town. Population (1991) 26,300.
