Windows Live® Search Results Lillebælt (Danish, “Little Belt”), strait between the coast of south-eastern Denmark and the island of Fyn. The Lillebælt is the westernmost of three waterways running roughly north to south, the others being the straits of Øresund and Storebælt, that connect the Kattegat strait with the Baltic Sea. About 50 km (30 mi) long, the Lillebælt contains many small islands. The northern end is only 640 m (2,100 ft) wide, but the central part attains a width of 29 km (18 mi).
