Windows Live® Search Results Gulf of Aqaba, north-eastern arm of the Red Sea, south-western Asia, separating the Sinai and Arabian peninsulas. It is a narrow body of water, up to 24 km (15 mi) wide and 160 km (100 mi) long, occupying a portion of the great geological fault known as the Rift Valley. The gulf is linked to the Red Sea on the south by the Strait of Tiran; at its head in the north are the port of Al 'Aqabah, Jordan, and the port of Elat, Israel.
