Ratel, or honey badger, small mammal that resembles the badger in size, shape, and habits, but is more aggressive. The ratel is found over most of Africa and western Asia. It is omnivorous, eating honey as well as bees and animal flesh. The ratel is iron grey from the tip of the tail to the forehead, and black on the underparts.

Scientific classification: The ratel belongs to the family Mustelidae. It is classified as Mellivora capensis.
