Windows Live® Search Results Kidderminster, town in Wyre Forest District, Worcestershire, western England, on the River Stour. An industrial town, Kidderminster is known as a centre of carpet manufacture. Kidderminster was, from the 9th to the 12th century, a royal manor. Flemish weavers developed a flourishing cloth trade in the town, beginning in the 14th century. The carpet-manufacturing industry was established in Kidderminster in 1735. Kidderminster is the terminus of the Severn Valley Railway which runs to Bridgnorth. Population (1994 estimate) Wyre Forest District 97,200.
