Henry III (of Castile and León) (1379-1406), king of Castile and León (1390-1406), the son and successor of King John I. Although at the beginning of his reign the country was plagued with continual disorder and violent anti-Semitism, Henry was soon able to placate the nobility and restore royal authority.
