Windows Live® Search Results Ucayali, river of Peru, one of the headwaters of the Amazon. It is formed by the confluence of the Apurímac and Urubamba at Atalaya, in eastern Peru, and winds about 1,930 km (1,200 mi) north to join the Marañón near Nauta. About half of the river's length is navigable.
