Windows Live® Search Results Lleyn Peninsula, peninsula in north-western Wales, projecting into the Irish Sea, south-west of the Snowdonia National Park. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it has a long coastline that surrounds a landscape of rolling hills, occasionally interrupted by taller mountains. Yr Eifl, the highest peak in the range, measures around 500 m (1,640 ft), while the summits of Mynydd Ceiri, Garn Boduan, and Garn Fadrun are crowned by Iron Age hillforts. The peninsula is a popular holiday centre.
