Definition:
 
1. loose coil of fibre: a length of fibre such as rope or wool that has been wrapped round itself to form a loose coil

2. sailing attachment for sail: a ring-shaped fitting that can be opened to secure the leading edge of a sail

3. measurements length of yarn: a length of yarn when reeled. A hank of cotton is 767 m (840 yd).
