mixer [ míksər ] (plural mixers)

Definition:
 
1. mixing device: a machine or device for mixing food, cement, or another substance

2. beverages nonalcoholic drink often mixed with alcohol: a nonalcoholic drink such as fruit juice or soda water that is often mixed with alcoholic drinks

3. somebody with particular degree of sociability: somebody considered in terms of his or her ability to socialize

4. troublemaker: somebody who constantly causes trouble, especially by gossiping ( informal )

5. recording electronic device for mixing sounds: an electronic device used to adjust and combine various inputs, e.g. performed or broadcast sounds, to create a single output

6. broadcasting cinema somebody creating sound for film: somebody who combines various sound recordings to create the final soundtrack of a film
