Definition:
 
plant sugar: a sugar with five carbon atoms in each molecule, found in the cell walls of many plants. As it cannot be broken down in humans, it does not increase blood sugar levels, so is used in sugar-free foods for people with diabetes or a need to control their weight. C5H10O5
