Definition:
 
1. member of alliance: a person, group, or state that is joined in an association with another or others for a common purpose

2. biology related organism: an organism that is closely related to another



verb  (3rd person present singular allies, present participle allying, past and past participle allied)

1. transitive and intransitive verb join in mutually supportive association: to join, or enlist somebody, in an association with one or more other states, organizations, or people for a common purpose
