transitive verb  (3rd person present singular affixes, present participle affixing, past and past participle affixed)
Definition:
 
1. fasten something: to fasten something to something else
2. add something at end: to add something at the end of something, e.g. a signature to a document
3. attribute something: to ascribe something such as responsibility or blame, to somebody


noun  (plural affixes)
Definition:
 
1. grammar part added to word: a form added to the beginning, middle, or end of another word that creates a derivative word or inflection
2. something attached: an attachment or addition to something
