Peasants Revolt:
Uprising that took place in England in 1381 as the result of the introduction of a poll tax, which put additional burden on labourers, whose numbers had already been affected by the Black Death. After the death of the leader Wat Tyler, the rising was swiftly suppressed and the poll tax was abolished.
