Industrial Revolution:
The Industrial Revolution saw major changes in Britain from the mid-18th century onward. The main source of wealth changed from agriculture, backed by commerce, to one in which greater productivity was achieved through new technology, resources, enterprise, and capital. Social consequences were greater urbanization and politicization. By the mid-19th century the revolution reached Europe and North America, and by the mid-20th century it was global.
