French and Indian War:
French and Indian War in America was part of the larger European conflict known as the Seven Years' War, and expanded into India as the third Carnatic War. It was fought between the British and French for control of modern-day Canadian and US territories. Ultimately, France, in the Treaty of Paris in 1763, lost all its possessions on Canadian territory to Britain.
